RW Meet Recap/Swimmers of the Week

Good Afternoon Splashers Family!

We had our first dual meet of the season last Friday against the Rollingwood Waves! Thankfully the weather held out, and we had a great meet! Thank you to our parent volunteers that stepped up to help make that meet run smoothly!

Best times: We ended up having 168 events with time improvements! It is great to see the kids learn and grow in their skill set and strength, along with their display of good sportsmanship!

All Star Qualifiers: We also had 33 athletes obtain qualifying standards for our the league championship meet, the All-Star Championships!!!! This is the final meet of the season, and swimmers must meet a time standard to participate in the meet. The only exception to this would be if they are on a relay for our team. We get one relay (A relay) entry per relay event. Here is the complete list of qualifiers.

Swimmers of the Week:

Each week the coaches will rotate in picking a "Swimmer of the Week" from each practice group. We have a team meeting to announce the individual, and they get to take home a yard sign to display for the week. The yard sign is returned on Thursday, and awarded to another swimmer.

A coach is looking for a swimmer that attends practices, works hard each practice, listens to the coach and applies what the coach is asking, respectful of the coach and teammates, and displays kindness and encourages their teammates.

Please help congratulate the following Swimmers of the Week for May 8th-12th.
